The Toronto Blue Jays have won their first postseason series since 2016.
The Jays defeated the Yankees 5-2 in game 4 of the best-of-five series at Yankee Stadium.
It was a close one for most of the night until the Blue Jays got the best of New York’s bullpen.
Nathan Lukes extended the lead with a 2-run single in the 7th inning.
The Jays’ bullpen held down to fort for 9 innings with Jeff Hoffman closing out the game and securing the win.
Toronto will now have a few days to rest before the ALCS begin on Sunday against either Detroit or Seattle.
