A freeze warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 1 a.m. valid from 11 p.m. until Friday 9 a.m. for Berkshire County.

The weather service states, “Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 26 degrees expected.”

“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” explains the weather service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
