NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - We continue to monitor Tropical Storm Jerry in the Atlantic and a spot for potential tropical development in the Gulf.

Starting with Tropical Storm Jerry, its located 750 miles east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands with maximum sustained winds of 60-mph and tropical-storm-force winds that extend outward up to 125-miles from the center.

According to the National Hurricane Center, Jerry is expected to continue moving in a west-northwestward motion at 23-mph through Thursday morning then turn toward the northwest and north with a slightly slower forward speed come late Thursday into Saturday.
