QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) -- Chilly morning

Warm up starts this afternoon

No significant rain chance

This morning is one of the coolest starts since early May, with widespread temps in the 30s and 40s, so grab a jacket!

Once the sun comes up, the gradual warm-up begins as south winds return, pushing highs back into the low 70s.

While it will still cool off at night, clouds and south winds will keep most overnight lows in the 40s and 50s, a bit warmer than normal heading into the weekend.

Speaking of the weekend, highs will top out near 80º both days, with Saturday looking like the sunnier of the two.

There are signs of a system bringing minor rain chances Sunday into Monday, but amounts look limited and no significant cool down is expected behind it.

TODAY: Sunny. High 69º Win
