South Charleston and St. Albans' football teams are in a bit of a drought, entering Friday's game at Crawford Field with a combined 1-10 record.
The Black Eagles won their opener against Ripley, 27-23, but have since surrendered their last five games.
The Red Dragons have struggled to find success this season, as they are winless and have only scored 34 points all season.
"They're very similar to who we are, and they're hungry to get a victory," SC coach Donnie Mays said of St. Albans. "They're gonna come out and do everything that they can, like we will, to try to get one on Friday night. They've beaten South Charleston the last two years, and we've discussed that in length with our kids.
