Bhubaneswar : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for several districts in Odisha, predicting heavy rain and thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph. The warning is in effect from October 10 to October 13, with different sets of districts expected to be affected on each day.

On October 10, heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely to occur at one or two places over Gajapati district. Additionally, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are expected in districts including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
