A Welsh primary school has shut its doors following the heartbreaking death of an eight year old pupil.
Penrhys Primary School remains closed after one of their students tragically passed away on Wednesday.
Officers from South Wales Police were called to the primary school in the Rhondda on Wednesday following reports that a pupil had suffered a medical episode.
The girl, who authorities confirm was from Ferndale, was rushed to hospital where she later died.
A police spokesperson confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident and a coroner's investigation is now taking place, reports Wales Online .
