YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Lt. David Godfrey, the lieutenant with the York County Sheriff's Office who was wounded in the shootout in North Codorus Township in September, was recently moved from WellSpan York Hospital to WellSpan Surgery & Rehabilitation Hospital.
According to WellSpan, Godfrey is "making daily progress in regaining strength and is working toward walking without assistance."
"The rehabilitation team will continue to support Lt. Godfrey through the recovery process, in the hopes that he may be able to be discharged from the hospital within the upcoming weeks as his progress continues," WellSpan said.
