On Thursday at 1:56 a.m. a freeze warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 11 p.m. until Friday 9 a.m. for Sussex and Warren counties.

The weather service states, “Sub-freezing temperatures as low as the upper 20s to low 30s expected.”

“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” explains the weather service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
