Surprise city officials need volunteers to fill a series of vacancies on city commissions and committees, including a spot on the planning and zoning commission.

The city is looking for a planning commissioner to sit on the seven-person board after the departure of longtime commissioner Matthew Keating. The term ends in June 2027.

Two Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission members are also wanted, as well as one person each for the City Audit Committee and the Board of Trustees.

Only Surprise residents can serve as a volunteer or a board commissioner.
