TEXAS (CW39) — This week, U.S. Forest Service announced fire danger across National Forests and Grasslands in Texas is now at a “Very High” level, prompting warnings to visitors and residents alike.

State officials with Forest Service under the U.S. Department of Agriculture is reminding the public to check with local or county authorities for updates on burn bans and/or outdoor burning restrictions. Also, to obey all posted fire danger signs and forest orders and location rules.

The Forest Service also manages closure orders and regulations across Texas forests and grasslands and are issuing those at various locations around Texas to cut wildfire risk.
