FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. — Two Pennsylvania State Police Troopers were shot Wednesday evening while responding to a call in Franklin County.

According to State Police Public Information Officer Megan Frazer, the shooting occurred near I-81 southbound at Exit 3: Molly Pitcher Highway in Antrim Township.

Frazer said that Troopers responded to a retail theft at Dicks Sporting Goods along Lincoln Way E. in Guilford Township at around 6:10 p.m. Wednesday. The suspects then reportedly fled the scene and drove towards I-81.

Troopers engaged in a pursuit with the vehicle. They successfully stopped the suspects' vehicle at I-81 southbound at Exit 3 by using spike strips.
