PHILADELPHIA — Last October at MetLife Stadium, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley faced his former Giants team in a game that was anything but ordinary.

After the Giants repeatedly offered low contracts and made little effort to re-sign him as a free agent, Barkley punished them for their disrespect by rushing for 176 yards and one touchdown in the Eagles’ Week 7 win.

When the Eagles face the Giants at MetLife on Thursday night, it won’t carry the same weight for Barkley as last year’s matchup did. Now, his focus has shifted fully to his Eagles’ tenure, which is already more successful than his Giants’ tenure.
