SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) -- David Stephens believes -- with enough creativity -- anything can be a puppet.
"That's one of the great things about what I do. A puppet can be a fully realized, three-dimensional sculpture or it could be an inanimate object. It could be a plush toy, it could be a pencil, it could be whatever is handy."
That creativity came at an early age for Stephens, who now makes his living as a full-time puppeteer. "I was an obsessed Muppet fan as a child. My earliest memories were about Sesame Street and the work of Jim Henson. When I became a teenager, I started creating my own characters. It was a lot of trial and error.
