WASHINGTON — A woman died Monday at Disneyland after riding the Haunted Mansion attraction at the California theme park , police confirmed.
Anaheim police spokesperson Matt Sutter said by email that a woman suffered an "unfortunate medical episode" on Monday, Oct. 6, at the park.
The woman was in her 60s, but was not identified by police.
Sutter said Disneyland security personnel provided CPR to the woman after she initially suffered a medical episode.
First responders arrived around 6:30 p.m. to a call about an unresponsive woman who had just been on the ride, Sutter said. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Haunted Mansion ride was reopened shortly after the woman had been taken away by paramedics. Anaheim police told multiple media outlets
