On Thursday at 5:14 a.m. the National Weather Service released a coastal flood watch valid from Sunday 1 p.m. until Monday 9 p.m. for Salem County.
“One to two feet of inundation above ground level possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways,” says the weather service. “A strong coastal storm will impact the region Sunday through Monday. Moderate coastal flood impacts are possible. Interests along Delaware Bay and its tidal tributaries should remain alert for forecast updates regarding this potentially significant coastal flood event.”
