Jim Todd wants to get it right.
Todd, who was recently named one of Davidson County’s six criminal court judges, listed a few ways he’s preparing to do that. He’s reading, talking to Nashville's other criminal court judges and keeping a humbling phrase in mind.
“You’re not the smartest person in the room,” Todd reminds himself, repeating what he told the Trial Court Vacancy Commission earlier this year. “What you’re thinking may be wrong, and be open to what people are arguing.”
