These were words of intent from India captain Shubman Gill , who is slowly making his mark as a skipper of the Indian Test team. A lot has happened for the 25-year-old after he took over as Test captain, and he has since also been appointed ODI skipper just as the first Test came to an end. While Gill may have said he wants to remain in the present and not look back, for India, the focus will be on maintaining momentum in the current World Test Championship cycle.
