Musician, luthier and businessman Rick Thum, who was named the most influential dulcimer player of the last decade by readers of Dulcimer Player News, travels nationally and internationally to play, sell and teach his musical specialty, the hammer dulcimer.

On Dec. 16, the Jefferson County resident will join a group of musicians in an Old Time Christmas show at the newly refurbished Sheldon Concert Hall. Thum will lead the lively group that includes Bob Born, Kristen Ashley Linten, Rinn Netherton, Vince Corkery, Tim Woestendiek and Lashandra Woestendiek playing folk music in the spirit of Christmas.
