(WFRV) – A high-speed pursuit across multiple counties in northeast Wisconsin ended dramatically early Thursday morning when the driver crashed into Lake Winnebago and was later taken into custody.

According to the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office, the chase began around 2 a.m. on October 9, 2025, after Green Bay Police informed deputies of a suspect wanted on multiple felony bail-jumping and fleeing charges. The person, who was reportedly armed with a machete and a baseball bat, was also on electronic monitoring through Sheboygan County.
