The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Imphal Sub-Zonal Office, has provisionally attached three immovable properties worth approximately ₹71 lakh under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, in connection with a corruption case linked to Manipur University.

According to the ED, the attached assets include a residential property worth ₹23.95 lakh belonging to Smt. Konsam (O) Sheityabati Devi, wife of K. Jiban Kumar Singh, the then Finance Officer (in-charge) of Manipur University, and two plots of agricultural land worth ₹48 lakh held by Lourembam Rameshwar Meitei, a contractor and proprietor of M/s Lourembam Enterprises, both located in Imphal.
