Iwas really surprised to hear the Baltimore Children and Youth Fund is being investigated by the city Inspector General’s Office (“ Baltimore City IG investigates taxpayer-backed youth fund ,” Oct. 9). I figured the mayor’s office would do everything they could to prevent that from happening. I am curious to see what they have accomplished with the money they received over the years. To hear what BCYF has to say, they have “extensive financial and operational transparency.”

Well, I guess now we are going to find out if that is true or not. As a taxpayer, I want to see what they do with my money and why they are sending millions to the mayor’s office.
