CATONSVILLE, Md. —

When it comes to Maryland crab cakes, the Faidley family has shared its recipes for generations.

Bill Devine and his wife, Nancy Faidley Devine, have co-owned the family business for six decades. The Baltimore staple at Lexington Market for more than 130 years started as a fish market. That changed when Nancy started selling the now signature crab cakes in 1987.

The new restaurant is the brainchild of the couple's daughter, Damye Hahn.
