FREDERICK, Md. —

A set of buildings that once held a storied Frederick restaurant has sold for $2.6 million, with a new eatery scheduled to move in there next month.

The former home of Firestone's Culinary Tavern and Sidecar Bar at 105-107 N. Market St. will soon be occupied by modern-American restaurant Fire & Oak, according to MacKenzie Retail, which brokered the property sale. The change in ownership comes after Firestone's ended its 26-year run in 2024.

N Market Ventures LLC, an investment group, acquired the buildings and plans to "emulate and honor the customer experience" from the former Firestone's, according to a news release. Fire & Oak is expected to open in mid-November and will use just over 12,000 square feet within the three- and four-story buildings.
