Former outfielder and manager Dave Roberts remained calm despite the Los Angeles Dodgers’ heavy loss at Dodger Stadium. Los Angeles fell 8-2 to the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 3 of the NLDS, giving them a 2-1 series lead.

Speaking to the media right after getting slammed for his bold take on Blake Treinen, Roberts said:

“I feel good with where we are at, it’s certainly flushed.”

The Phillies forced a Game 4 thanks to a balanced team effort. Designated hitter Kyle Schwarber, though, stole the show. Schwarber had a long history of making an impact in the postseason. In his 2015 playoff debut with the Cubs, Schwarber drove in Dexter Fowler in the NL Wild Card game, despite having just 69 MLB games under his belt. His knack for rising in big moments carried into Wednesday night’s win.
