TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - After a Florida appeals court ruled an open carry ban unconstitutional , some grocery stores are allowing patrons to carry firearms inside the building, while others aren’t.

With the open carry law in effect, Floridians can carry firearms in public, openly or concealed. However, law enforcement across the Big Bend and in Tallahassee said private property owners can accept or deny open carry on their property.

In a statement to WCTV, Publix said the open carry law will be upheld inside its grocery stores.

Winn-Dixie said in a statement to WCTV that they will continue to enforce their policy of denying firearms in their stores.

Home Depot said that it will act in accordance with federal and state regulations.
