**Canucks Unveil New Pre-Game Hype Video for Fans** The Vancouver Canucks have released their latest pre-game hype video, continuing a tradition that has energized fans at Rogers Arena for several years. The videos, known for their high production quality, have garnered industry recognition and awards. Since 2019, Mike Pohorly, a veteran in the film industry, has been the creative force behind these videos. He was appointed as the team's creative director in February 2019 and held the position for just over a year. Since the summer of 2020, Pohorly has served as a consultant, contributing to various projects, including the selection of the large video board currently in use at the arena. Despite stepping back from a full-time role, Pohorly remains closely involved with the pre-game hype video, which he has produced for the sixth consecutive season. "This one highlights the connection the players have to the city and fans," he said while uploading the final cut to the team's server. Pohorly described the theme of this year's video, stating, "It takes place in space and the players are returning; the fans’ energy brings them home." The video features Hollywood actress Cobie Smulders, a longtime Canucks supporter, who has appeared in previous editions. While Pohorly hinted that another well-known actor is included this year, he did not disclose their identity. He noted that several prominent figures from film and television have been seen at Rogers Arena recently. Additionally, he teased a connection to former Canucks player Kevin Bieksa, stating, "Fans should watch for a Kevin Bieksa tie-in." As the Canucks prepare for the upcoming season, the excitement surrounding the new hype video reflects the team's ongoing efforts to engage with their fan base and enhance the game-day experience.
