OMAHA, Neb. —
A new $17.5 million health care workforce center is coming to Omaha.
It's being built by OneWorld Community Health Centers in the historic South Omaha Livestock Exchange campus.
Thursday was the signing of their final beam.
As work continues, One World Community Health can expand — and improve — the services they offer.
"We'll be able to expand behavioral health services, which is a critical need in South Omaha. But across Omaha. And then our workforce training center, we have no rooms now where we can train anyone. So it'll bring us, upskilling our workforce and bringing in new residents for jobs at OneWorld," Andrea Skolkin, chief executive officer for OneWorld Community Health Centers, said.
