Tragedy Strikes Ayodhya: 5 Dead in Building Collapse

At least five people have lost their lives in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, after a building collapsed due to a powerful explosion. The incident occurred in Pagla Bhari village on October 9, 2025. Several individuals are feared trapped under the rubble as rescue operations continue.

Circle Officer Shailendra Singh confirmed, "Five people have died in the explosion, a few have been injured, and efforts are on to rescue those trapped. The cause of the blast is not yet clear." Initial reports suggest that the explosion may have been caused by a gas cylinder.

Emergency services, including police and fire department teams, quickly arrived at the scene to assist in the rescue efforts. Rescue workers are using excavators to clear debris, while nearby homes have been evacuated as a safety precaution. Officials have urged residents to avoid the area to facilitate the ongoing operations.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his condolences and directed senior officials to the site to ensure proper medical care for the injured and to oversee the rescue and relief efforts. An investigation into the cause of the explosion has also been initiated by local authorities.
