PEORIA, Ill. – Rain and cooler temperatures arrived, but it did not help drought conditions in central Illinois.

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor report released on Thursday shows severe drought conditions encompass all of Peoria, Woodford, and Fulton Counties. More than 90% of Tazewell County is in severe drought.
