CHICAGO — A judge is expected to rule Thursday on whether to block an emergency restraining order against the National Guard troop deployment to Chicago.

Illinois is seeking to prohibit the use of federal troops, calling the deployment unconstitutional and a federalization of law enforcement.

The Trump administration is citing growing violence against immigration officials as "Operation Midway Blitz" continues.
