LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Lancaster County on Wednesday night.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the fatal crash occurred at 7:31 p.m. on October 8, on Mine Road in Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County.

An investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Cruze was traveling eastbound on Mine Road when it veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Police said the front seat passenger was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Lancaster General Hospital for evaluation of his injuries, police said. Their current condition is unknown.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released and the investigation is ongoing.
