A frost advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 12:03 p.m. valid from 11 p.m. until Friday 9 a.m. for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Cayuga, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario and Chautauqua counties.
The weather service says to prepare for, "Temperatures in the upper 20s will result in frost formation."
"Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left unprotected," explains the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
