The Philadelphia Phillies held off being swept by the defending World Series champions, but the Los Angeles Dodgers have another opportunity to end the Phillies’ season tonight.

In yesterday’s Game 3, the Phillies avoided the sweep thanks, in part, to two big home runs from Kyle Schwarber, one of which went 455 feet, outside the stadium. After a three-run fourth inning, the Phillies added five more in the eighth inning to make the final score 8-1.

Six of the Phillies’ 12 hits in Game 3 came off Clayton Kershaw, who made his first postseason relief appearance since 2019 and will retire at the end of the postseason. Dodgers vs. Phillies
