An "alarming" lack of adequate facilities, a "hostile" environment, and "profit-driven priorities" have sparked desperate pleas for the ACT government to address community sport's most glaring issues.

Representatives from a range of sports - including basketball, soccer, swimming, squash and even parkour - have made submissions for an inquiry into barriers and opportunities for participation in community sports in the ACT.
