Strictly Come Dancing’s Karen Carney has admitted she ‘thought she was out’ as she revealed the advice Carlo’s Gu gave her on the programme.

The former England captain, 38, and professional dancer, 31, were the highest scoring couple of the first episode 23rd season of the BBC programme, scoring 31, out of a possible 40, for their jive to Blondie’s One Way Or Another.

Returning to the dancefloor on Saturday (October 4), the pair took on the Jive to Dua Lipa’s Training Season, which saw them score 20 out of a possible 40 points.

Making it through to Movie Week, Karen and Carlos will be dancing the Cha-cha-cha to Tom Jones’ She’s A Lady from the Sandra Bullock film Miss Congeniality.
