The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation recently made a $5,000 donation to Wirtzie’s Preschool and Childcare, 16752 N. Greasewood St., at a Sprouts Farmers Market in Surprise.

Wirtzie’s is a program of the Surprise-based nonprofit Benevilla.

The donation was part of an orchestrated $3 million effort across all Sprouts locations in the U.S. on Sept. 6.

The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation presented Benevilla Donor Relations Specialist Angelita Contreras with the sizable donation.
