The Tories are doubling down on their promise to build and operate four new ferries in this province.

In a campaign stop at Trades NL this morning, Wakeham said he was disappointed with Liberal John Hogan for denouncing the project.

Wakeham did not have the cost to build the ferries or create a port capable of building the vessel.

“When we look at the capital cost of that (to build or upgrade the boat-building facility), that is something that is invaluable to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador,” he said when asked by VOCM News.

“I can’t put a cost on that, because I think of how many people have left this province looking for work.”
