LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Fifty years after Eric Carmen released his first solo album, the musicians who helped create those iconic recordings are bringing his music back to life in a way the Cleveland legend never experienced publicly in the United States.
EC50: A Celebration of Eric Carmen's Musical Legacy takes the stage at Lakewood Civic Auditorium on Nov. 25, featuring some of Carmen's original band members, the Lakewood High School Orchestra, and the Lakewood Project, an innovative electric rock orchestra program.
"We thought, well, why don't we do the show that Eric would want to do in 2025 if he was here," says Stephen Knill, Carmen's former bassist and executive producer of the tribute concert. "We're basically throwing in the kitchen sink."
