Be careful, it could be a scam.

Here's how it works: Someone calls, saying they're a sheriff or deputy. They claim they've seized a package in your name filled with drugs, weapons or cash and threaten that you'll be arrested unless you pay a fine.

The scammer may even spoof your caller ID, use the name of a real officer or know personal details about you.

Real police will never call to threaten arrest, and they will never demand payment by gift cards, Bitcoin, Zelle or Cash App.
