The City of Las Vegas will implement new parking rates on Monday to mark the first adjustment to parking fees in six years, city officials said today..

Following a comprehensive market-rate analysis of city-managed parking facilities, on-street metered parking will increase by $1 per hour, bringing rates to between $2 and $4 per hour depending on the location, the city said in a news release.

Public surface parking lots downtown, which are operated by the city but owned by various property owners, will also see a $1 per hour increase, raising costs to between $2 and $6 per hour, officials said.

Monthly permit rates for city-operated garages and select parking lots will be adjusted beginning with the November billing cycle.
