Recent data from the National Retail Federation (NRF) shows that a growing number of people are spending more money on Halloween over the last decade or so.
NRF's annual consumer survey, conducted by Prosper Insights & Analytics, was fielded to 8,045 consumers aged 18+ from September 2 to September 9 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.1 percentage points.
The survey revealed that Halloween spending is expected to reach a record $13.1 billion this year, overtaking the previous record set in 2023 at $12.2 billion.
In addition, 2025 has tied with 2023 for the highest total people celebrating the holiday at 73%.
