SALEM, Ore. (KPTV) - A man was arrested in connection with two road rage shootings, according to the Salem Police Department.

Police say the road rage shootings happened in Sept. 2023 and Feb. 2024. No injuries were reported in either shooting.

Detectives used ballistics evidence, along with other physical evidence, to identify 31-year-old Dane Steven Joseph Lacey as the suspect, according to police.

When officers responded to Lacey’s home on Wednesday to arrest him, police say he tried to flee but was confronted by officers. Officers had to use a taser while taking him into custody.

Lacey was booked into jail for menacing and unlawful use of a weapon.

Police say detectives will be reaching out to other local agencies to see if there are any cases that are similar to the ones in Salem
