A brush fire with a moderate rate of spread sparked in Ramona on Thursday afternoon.

Cal Fire San Diego stated the fire was near Highway 78 and Casner Road. As of 1:50 a.m., the fire was at 5 to 10 acres with a moderate rate of spread, officials said.

No structures are currently threatened.
