Two women died in York County after they were injured in separate crashes this week, authorities said.

Jolene Hoke, 63, died Monday, Oct. 6, and Ruby Young, 73, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, at WellSpan Hospital, according to the York County Coroner’s Office.

Hoke was the passenger of a vehicle in which the driver lost control, sideswiped two parked vehicles and hit a fence and a home before coming to a stop.

The crash happened at 4:26 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, near the 100 block of West Chestnut Street, in Hanover. Hoke lived less than five minutes from the crash scene.

The condition of the driver was not known. Hoke was transported to WellSpan Hospital, where she died from her injuries the next evening. The death was ruled accidental from multiple blunt force trauma, according to the coroner.
