Catholic education in Hartford is making a comeback.
Ater almost a decade without a Catholic school in the city, the Archdiocese of Hartford announced their plans to open the Catholic Academy of Hartford in the fall semester of 2026.

“This new school will be a generational contribution,” the archdiocese said.
“On day one of my episcopacy, I made a promise that we will open a Catholic school in Hartford,” Archbishop Christopher Coyne said. “And today, I’m proud to say that promise is fulfilled.”
The building, located at 765 Asylum Avenue, will be converted from office space into classrooms. The basement will be used as a multipurpose room.
