Local dispensaries are scrambling after Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine essentially banned “intoxicating hemp” products such as Delta-8 and Delta-9.

Management at dispensaries said they are shocked and feel like they've done everything in their power to stay afloat since recreational marijuana became legal.

This ban will take effect starting Tuesday, Oct. 14, and last for 90 days.

Some local dispensaries now have to think about their next move and what to tell their staff.

"It's crazy that in six days that we all have to shut down our doors,” said Greg Parsons, co-owner of CannaBuyIt.

"We have several locations, several warehouses, employees,” said Adam Seaton, an assistant manager at Beds Buds Depot in Trotwood. “All of them are going to be losing their jobs.”
