SPINDALE, N.C. —

Two men have been charged in connection with a series of thefts at multiple Harbor Freight stores in South Carolina and North Carolina.

Since late August, the Spindale Police Department has responded to the Harbor Freight at 1495 College Avenue in Spindale, North Carolina, regarding a man coming in and stealing generators and other tools.

Officers said on multiple occasions, the suspect brought an accomplice to assist in the thefts.

According to officials, the estimated value of the items stolen at the Spindale Harbor Freight is $3,299.

In late September, detectives learned that similar thefts had taken place at four other Harbor Freight locations within North and South Carolina. These other thefts reportedly had open criminal cases, but no identified suspects.
