Pulaski, N.Y. - A man who caused a shelter-in-place order early Wednesday morning in Pulaski has been arrested.
Mark A. Vanwormer, 58, of Pulaski, was arrested by State Police after he fled a domestic incident on Port Street at approximately 4:43 a.m., according to a news release from State Police spokesperson Trooper Jennifer Jiron.
Troopers said the domestic incident was between a father and son.
Vanwormer was involved in a verbal altercation with his son before he began to choke him, troopers said.
When his son retreated and grabbed a handgun, Vanwormer grabbed it and used it to threaten him, they said.
Vanwormer fled the scene.
A shelter-in-place order was issued around 5:50 a.m. after a reverse 911 alert warned residents of an armed man in the area, according to Oswego County
