FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Allen County Council members recently approved a plan to change the way people cast their votes.

Allen County Republican Chairman Steve Shine said he’s happy about the change, which establishes 53 voting centers that will replace precinct voting.

“For example, if you work in northeast Allen County, but you reside in southwest Allen County, and you get off work late in the afternoon, not in time to cast your vote, you can stop at any one of the 53 vote centers regardless of where you live,” Shine said.
